Your order is processed when submit it, but will take some time to ship. We usually ship once a week, but sometimes it's a bit longer. Shipping is by media mail in the US, and in general can be slow! Just wanted to let you know ahead of time.
The RISO Bookstore orders ship from the Zine Hug studio in Seattle, WA, unless otherwise noted in product descriptions.
Holiday 2024 Shipping
December 13th, 2024 is our final shipping day of the year! The next shipping date will be January 2nd, 2025.
Shipments
Shipping in the US is a flat rate of $5. Orders over $100 shipping to the US get free shipping with the code FREESHIP100US at checkout.
Shipments are via tracked USPS Media Mail, or occasionally USPS Priority Flat Rate for larger items. Once a package gets in the mail itself, time in transit can take a while — typically 2-8 days, but things aren't quite normal conditions so it can be a lot longer. The closer you are to Seattle, the quicker it will arrive.
International shipments: Shipping to Canada is a flat rate of $13. Shipping to the rest of the world besides the US and Canada starts at $16. Depending on the country, delivery usually occurs within 1-4 weeks. Recipients are responsible for taxes/customs.
Tracking
Once your order ships, you'll get an email with tracking information. We use PirateShip to print labels. You'll get this email on the ship date, when it gets packaged up and goes in the mail!
There is door-to-door tracking for the United States, as well as 55 other countries (list here); tracking stops at customs for countries not on that list.
Lost or Stolen Mail
Please note that we cannot be responsible for lost, stolen or damaged mail.
Returns or Exchanges
Please read product descriptions carefully. Returns or exchanges are not accepted, and all sales are final.
IRL Pickup
Are you going to pick up your order in real life, instead of having it shipped? Use the code IRL to remove the shipping fees at checkout—please only use this if you know us personally or have arranged with us beforehand. Or if pickup is offered as part of a launch event or popup!
Made by hand
Risograph is a print method full of imperfections and quirks, and most books and zines in the RISO Bookstore are cut and bound by hand. Sometimes, you may find ink smudge marks, roller marks, misregistration or other signs that these books were made by artists, and not industrially produced.
